Chamlin & Associates Inc. is seeking to hire an Experienced Water/Wastewater Engineer with 5 plus years’ experience in our Morris, Peru or Ottawa, IL office. Engineer will be responsible for performing engineering assignments that require initiative, creativity, knowledge, and application of engineering principles. This position will assist with designing water/wastewater projects, including pump stations, treatment facilities and elevated and ground storage tanks. Responsibilities:

• Design of storm water, potable water and wastewater pipelines and pumping
• Evaluation and study of water and wastewater treatment
• Preparation of potable water and wastewater master planning
• Planning and review of water and wastewater infrastructure
• Develop, plan, and design drinking water and wastewater treatment
• Support the development of engineering project proposals with the marketing
• Make decisions independently and take responsibility for project engineering
• Represent the company in client and agency meetings to resolve questions and to plan and coordinate
• Develop and enhance client relationships and business
• Work with department managers to continually improve department standards and peer review process.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil
• Professional Engineering License (PE)
• AutoCAD/Civil 3D and/or Microstation software knowledge is preferred
• Ability to utilize Microsoft Office programs proficiently
• Understanding of civil engineering theories andprinciples
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organization and multi-tasking skills with the ability to prioritize projects
• Experience permitting projects through IDOT, IEPA, IDNR and local
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
