About Chamlin & Associates
Chamlin & Associates, Inc. was founded in 1952 in Peru, Illinois and expanded in 1959 by establishing an office in Morris, Illinois. Chamlin & Associates furthered their expansion in 2019 by acquiring the engineering and surveying firm formerly doing business as Vegrzyn, Sarver & Associates, Inc. in Ottawa, Illinois.
Chamlin & Associates is a Type C corporation, incorporated in Delaware, and is structured as an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) company with vested employees comprising the majority ownership of the company. The company has grown modestly, but steadily, for nearly 70 years. Our diversified client base has enabled us to withstand the various economic cycles. As a result, we have not suffered fluctuations in staffing. Our firm consists almost entirely of long-term employees with greater than 15 years’ experience.
The partners and managers of Chamlin & Associates include registered professional engineers, structural engineers, land surveyors, floodplain managers, environmental consultants and project managers. The supporting staff includes engineers, designers, planners, engineering aides, CADD operators and clerical personnel. We are large enough to provide a complete range of consulting services and small enough to provide those services in a personal manner. Attention to detail and our dedication to quality service are maintained through our in-house QA/QC procedures and training programs. We have committed ourselves to provide the highest quality of services to our clients. Our experience, strong project management and expert evaluation are the keys to providing cost-effective solutions to your engineering needs. Chamlin’s ultimate goal is Client Satisfaction.
Chamlin & Associates has provided services to state agencies, municipalities, industry and others for nearly 70 years. Our projects have included, but are not limited to, transportation and bridge design, site design, storm and sanitary sewers, water distribution systems, water and wastewater treatment plants, comprehensive floodplain studies, landfills, interceptor sewers, environmental assessments, land and topographical surveys, aerial drone surveys, planning and development, utilities, conservation projects and permitting. We have also been successful in helping various units of local government to identify sources of funding for community projects.
