Chamlin & Associates Inc. is seeking to hire an Experienced Professional Land Surveyor with 5 plus years’ experience in our Morris, Peru or Ottawa, IL office. Responsibilities:

• Ability to perform research to acquire necessary documents for survey
• Ability to compute land survey boundaries, review of staking files for construction layout, and preparation of various survey and right of way
• Preparation of land (legal) descriptions and maps in accordance with standard surveying practices.
• Review and certify completed survey
• Preparation of project budgets and
• Scheduling and oversight of field survey crews, including on-site
• Make decisions independently and take responsibility for project
• Represent the firm in client and agency meetings to resolve questions and to plan and coordinate
• Develop and enhance client relationships and business
• Work with department managers to continually improve department standards and peer review process.
• Represent the company at Professional

Requirements:

• Professional Land Surveyor License(PLS)
• AutoCAD/Civil 3D and/or Microstation software knowledge a plus
• Ability to utilize Microsoft Office programs proficiently
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent people management skills
• Excellent organization and multi-tasking skills with the ability to prioritize projects
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
