Chamlin & Associates, Inc. performed the facility planning, siting, design, construction drawings, and construction contract administration for this 1 mgd activated sludge treatment plant. The plant, which was designed to accommodate expansion to 4 mgd as the area in the northwestern portion of the City of Peru, much of which can be seen in the photo, develops. This plant consists of mechanical fine screen, activated sludge, final clarification, ultra-violet disinfection, and sludge storage lagoon, all which was completed in 2005. In 2013, a sludge dewatering facility was added.
