Scope of Work
In 2013, flooding along the Illinois River led to the destruction of the City’s existing wastewater treatment plant (WWTP). In response, Chamlin designed an entirely new WWTP. Together with City personnel, they explored various treatment technologies and equipment options, ultimately designing the plant based on the City’s preferences. The existing lagoon was repurposed into a facility for excess flow management. The new plant was started up in 2016 and has been operating effectively ever since.
