  • Morris, Illinois East Wastewater Treatment Plant

    A facility plan as a part of the northeast area wastewater master plan for the City of Morris and then designed, prepared construction drawings, and provided contract administration for this 0.9 mgd activated sludge treatment plant, a plant which was designed for modular expansion to a capacity of 4.5 mgd.

    St. George Road at IL 50

    A feasibility study and Phase I and II engineering for relocation of 1.3 miles of IL 50 to provide separation between IL 50 and the parallel railroad. The relocation also resulted in commercial development of the area.

  • Rt. 113 at Will Road in Diamond

    Phase I, II and III engineering for widening and resurfacing 0.4 miles of IL 113 and intersection improvements of Will Road. This project was funded by the Village of Diamond and adjacent property owners.

    Old Stage Road

    Land surveying and engineering services for reconstruction of 6.23 miles of Old Stage Road between Morris and Seneca, Illinois. Improvements included straightening the horizontal alignment and improving the vertical alignment.

  • Utica IL 178

    A feasibility study and Phase I and II engineering for realignment of 0.45 miles of IL 178 through the Village of Utica. Work also included two bridges. This project was part of the recovery program after the 2004 tornado that devastated this area in Utica.

    Peru Market Place

    A 52 acre commercial development north of Interstate 80 in Peru, Illinois. The shopping center is anchored by Super Walmart and Kohls and was developed by World Premier Investments of Newport Beach, California. The subdivision of the property, all of the site work and utilities design was our responsibility in 2004.

  • Baker Lake

    A 78 acre recreational area with a 6.5 acre lake located in the northeast area of Peru, Illinois. The facility was designed and constructed using State grants, local funds and donations to protect downstream properties from damaging floods by detaining storm water flows and to provide parkland for the surrounding residential areas.

    Peru Midtown Commercial Subdivision

    A 57 acre commercial subdivision located east of Route 251 and south of an older commercial area in Peru, Illinois. The commercial center is anchored by a HyVee grocery store, banks and medical facilities. The subdivision of the property, establishment of a TIF district and enterprise zone, all of the site work and utilities design was our responsibility in 1995.

  • Sycamore Lakes Subdivision

    A 37 acre residential subdivision located on the west side of Peru, Illinois. The subdivision was privately funded by local developers and features single family and duplex lots. The platting of the property and the roadway and utilities design was our responsibility in 2000.

    Illinois Valley Regional Airport

    An airport facility located in the northwest area of Peru, Illinois. The airport was designed and constructed using Federal and State grants and local funds. It now features a 6,000 foot main runway, a 4,000 foot by 75 foot crosswind runway, accommodates 20,000 landings and take-offs yearly and is an important economic development asset for the area. The platting of the properties, the planning, the engineering design and construction observation has been our responsibility since 1986 and is ongoing.

  • Morris Swimming Pool

    Demolition of a 100 year old pool and design/construction management of new pool featuring a dive area, toddler splash pad, slide area, racing lap feature and new zero depth entry feature. Included renovated bath house and park/landscaping amenities. $2M construction cost.

    Coal City, Illinois Wastewater Treatment Plant

    A facility plan, design, construction drawings, and contract administration for this 0.75 mgd extended aeration treatment facility. Process included mechanical fine screening, equalization, extended aeration, final clarification, and aerobic digestion. The plant replaced a 57 acre waste stabilization lagoon and was completed in 2001.

  • Village of Diamond, Illinois Wastewater Treatment Plant and Water Treatment Plant

    A facility plan, design, construction drawings and contract administration of this 0.44 mgd wastewater treatment plant consisting of mechanical fine screen, raw sewage pumping, extended aeration, final clarification, aerobic digestion, sludge drying beds and sludge holding lagoons.

    Peru, Illinois West Wastewater Treatment Plant

    Chamlin & Associates, Inc. performed the facility planning, siting, design, construction drawings, and construction contract administration for this 1 mgd activated sludge treatment plant. The plant, which was designed to accommodate expansion to 4 mgd as the area in the northwestern portion of the City of Peru, much of which can be seen in the photo, develops. This plant consists of mechanical fine screen, activated sludge, final clarification, ultra-violet disinfection, and sludge storage lagoon, all which was completed in 2005. In 2013, a sludge dewatering facility was added.
